Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 11/25/25
No boats went out of Lewes or Indian River on Sunday.
Monday’s weather looks good and we should get some fish from the ocean and bay.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said they heard of tog being caught from the inlet rocks on green crabs.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us they cleaned some of those tog.
When I lived in Virginia Beach my son Roger worked as a mate on the head boats out of Lynnhaven Inlet. Every Thanksgiving morning those boats ran a half-day striped bass trip and, as I recall, we usually limited out the boat.
This was during the 1990s when the striped bass moratorium had just been lifted and the limit was two fish per person.
The stripers were not huge, most were under 30 inches, but there were plenty of them and we had a great time casting bucktails on light spinning tackle. Those days are long gone.
