WGMD Fishing Report 10-29-18

bill-o

Monday was very windy and to the best of my knowledge no one went out on the bay or ocean.

At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda give me the latest standings in their Tog Tournament.  On Sunday Joe McNeil fished on the Katydid and brought in a 5.56-pound tog taking over first place.  Chris Ragni is now in second with his 5.37 pounder and Joe McNeil also holds third place with a 4.95-pound tog.

Lauren at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the four swordfish brought in Friday on the Boy’s Toy were already headed and gutted.  The cores weighed 180, 65, 45 and 38 pounds.

The water temperature is still around 60 degrees so when the seas settle down we should have good fishing for sea bass and perhaps a few flounder.  The offshore grounds might give up some tuna and swordfish, but right now seas out there are running nine to ten feet.

The beaches to our north have not seen much activity with larger blues or rockfish, but as more bait moves out to the ocean that could change.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD Fishing Report.
