WGMD Fishing Report 10-9-18

Tuesday was another fine weather day, but the rest of the week is not looking good.  It starts to go downhill on Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Jay Lightner caught a citation worthy 13.64-pound sheepshead on a green crab.  On Monday Jeff Eshour had another citation sheepshead weighing 8.6 pounds caught on a sand flea and green crab sandwich.  Just under citation size was Mike Lynch’s 6.41-pound sheepshead caught at the Outer Wall on a green crab.  The Monday Group on the Katydid had a table full of flounder and sea bass.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em Lauren told us the head boat caught lots of bluefish as did the charter boat Gale Force.  The private boat Spectacle had a good catch of sea bass.  Private boats that fished offshore on Sunday brought in lots of dolphin.

At Old Inlet the report was kings and pompano on the beach between Conquest and Key Box roads.
