WGMD Fishing Report 11-27-18

Tuesday was a blowout and gale warnings are up for Wednesday.  It looks like the winds will begin to back off on Thursday leaving decent fishing conditions for Friday and Saturday.  My guess would be the Del-Jersey-Land Reef for sea bass and blues on Friday then some of the inshore structure for tog on Saturday.  This should give the inshore water time to clear after three or four days of gale-force winds.

Indian River Inlet is due for a run of keeper rockfish as the coastal migration moves south.  The big rockfish caught at the Eights last weekend are a good sign that the ocean run fish are moving close to the coast and may not keep well off in the EEZ as they have over the past years.  Of course, this is just my uneducated guess and the fish will do whatever they please.

While surf fishing will never outperform boat fishing, it is possible that we could see a few decent rockfish along the beach.  The last time that happened I was at Herring Point and caught big rock and big blues.
