WGMD Fishing Report 6-13-19

Wednesday saw a hard northeast wind that pretty much cut down on most of the local fishing.

The only good report we had came from Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina who told us the Katydid came in with a decent catch of flounder considering the weather.

At Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park the report was a couple of keeper flounder on Gulp! and live minnows plus some spot on bloodworms.  The pier may be the only fishing spot accessible for the next few days

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said the wind kept fishing success at a minimum.  He had no reports from any of his customers.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us the only boat they had out was the Gale Force with Captain Aaron Herd.  They managed to find a couple of keeper flounder from Indian River Inlet.

They weather on Thursday looks even worse than Wednesday with heavy rain added to the wind.  Conditions may improve a bit on Friday morning, but will go right back to high wind conditions in the afternoon right on through the weekend.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
