Colby and Jessica Ryan and Todd and Denise Blue all from Fort Worth, TX fished with Capt. Ike II out of Indian River Marina out at the Fenwick Shoal and had a fantastic day. Capt. Dave Collins put them on the fish using sand fleas for the trigger fish, and trolling Clarkspoons for Spanish and king mackerel.

The good fishing continued on Saturday.

Julie at Lewes Harbour Marina told us Hunter Walsh fished the Canal with a white bucktail and Gulp! to land two flounder measuring 21 and 18 inches.  The Katydid fished the bay and brought in a mixed bag of triggerfish, trout and blues.  Steve Weller caught a 4.09-pound trigger and his son Ben had one weighing 3.7 pounds.  Hudson Keller had a two keeper flounder out of Roosevelt Inlet also on a bucktail with Gulp!

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em Chris told us the head boat Captain Bob had 34 flounder and 16 sea bass on the all-day trip.  Jacob Webb caught a 63-pound wahoo on the Line One.  Tuna were caught from the offshore grounds and two cobia in the 30-pound class were just hitting the cleaning table when I called.

Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said it was business as usual with plenty of spot and a few flounder caught during the day.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
