The Groff’s, Sam and Connie of Peach Bottom, PA fished on the full day trip on the Capt. Bob II and caught these two keeper flounder measuring 17″ and on keeper sea bass. Capt. Roger Meekins reported other nice catches that day out around the Old Grounds.

It was a little rough on Thursday morning, but a few boats sailed and people were fishing from the pier and the inlet.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid had a good catch of triggerfish along with some croaker and bluefish from the bay.  One kayaker caught four keeper flounder between 18 and 24 inches while working the broken pilings at the fishing pier.

Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park reported that spot and croaker were caught on bloodworms during high tide.  On Wednesday one angler caught two keeper flounder on minnows.

Chris at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told us Captain John Nedelka on the Karen Sue ran down to Fenwick Island where he trolled up a good catch of bluefish and Spanish mackerel.  Boats fishing the inlet found some croaker.  At least one keeper flounder was pulled from the rocks at the jetty.  The boats that ran offshore were not back when we called.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported the water at the beach and the Inlet was still pretty dirty.  Some croaker were caught at the southside.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
