Steve Shin of Bethesda, MD – tog caught using sand fleas while on anchor on an inshore wreck – caught other throw back tog as well

I was on Owner Steve Redden’s 31 Contender at 7:00 AM Sunday for a deep drop trip to the Baltimore Canyon.  The ride out was fast and smooth and we were fishing by 9:30.  The first two locations we tried were barren, but the third spot was loaded with blueline tilefish.  Jeff Waxman, Shane Martin, Dr. Pat Petrera along with Steve and myself began dropping multi-hook rigs on electric reels or hand cranking jigs.  Unfortunately for me, I had a little medical episode that took me out of the game before I could get my first fish to the surface.  Dr. Petrera took good care of me and I am fine.  Very disappointed, but fine.  By the end of the day we had twenty six bluelines to 22 pounds in the box.

Back at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em, Burt told me about Mike Lewis Sr. and Jr. along with Chris Huk who fished the 30-Mile Wreck for limits of sea bass, dolphin and flounder.  The Capt. Bob had flounder and the Judy V had croaker.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
