Ed Marshal of Ocean View, DE caught this 5.3lb and 26 inch flounder while fishing out at the Old Grounds using squid and minnows.

Wednesday was very hot with a bit of a south breeze, but those who gave fishing a try found some decent action.

Down in Ocean City fishinoc reported a very good white marlin bite in the canyons with numerous flags flying from the outriggers of the offshore fleet.  The head boats are finding flounder, sea bass and some dolphin.  Charter boats fishing the ocean are also catching flounder and some sea bass.  The Christian Serra party on the Grizzly returned with a mixed bag of sea bass, flounder and dolphin.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Ann fishing on the Katydid caught a big triggerfish.  On another trip the Katydid had a five-person limit of flounder to six pounds.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em the report was some flounder on the head boats.  The charter boats working over inshore structure are finding dolphin, sea bass and flounder.  Tilefish are the main draw in the canyons.

At Ice House Tackle they reported that Don Smith caught a 10.2-pound sheepshead.  Early morning surf casters find spot, kings and blues.
