Shari Jevnick, of Ocean View, DE fished on “Something Fishy” at Site 10 using minnow on a top and bottom rig and caught this tautog that weighed 6.9lbs.
While fishing the Rock Pile and deep dropping squid the gang from the “Still Lucky” caught these blue line tile and mahi. The largest weighed in at 16.4lbs. Pictured are Ben McDonald, Dilion Bernard, Capt. Steve Danner, Jeremy and Gavin LeBeau, all from Mechanicsburg, PA and Kyle Stimeling of Mt. Gretna, PA

Wednesday saw some windy conditions that ended with thunderstorms approaching from the west as this is written around 5:00 PM.  I hope everyone got back to the dock before these storms reached the ocean.

The top two boats in the White Marlin Open are from Virginia Beach.  The Chasin’ Tail has the top spot with a 74-pound white and Backlash is in second place with a 73.5 pounder.  Both boats would win well over one million dollars if the tournament ends this way.  Right now, Haullin’ and Ballin’ leads the blue marlin division with a 465-pounder.

Closer to home, Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Jack Henricksen and Rickey Mills combined for five keeper flounder over bay structure.  Captain Beau and Mate Tanner were able to put their party on the Skip Jack II on croaker, spot and blues at Reef Site 8.

The Thelma Dale IV out of Fisherman’s Wharf had her best day yet on Tuesday returning with lots of keeper flounder.
