WGMD Fishing Report 9-15-19

Saturday saw small craft advisories still up for the ocean so most boats fished in Delaware Bay or inside Indian River Inlet.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid with Captain Brent Weis had some triggerfish and sheepshead along with 48 blowfish.  Thirteen-year-old Jay Warius caught a 9.37-pound sheepshead on that trip.  Kelly Lenker had a nine-pound sheepshead while his Dad Dale had a 5.28-pound triggerfish also on the Katydid.  The Pirate King brought in a mixed bag of trout, blowfish, triggerfish, blues and croaker.  Payton Bailey caught a 17-inch trout from the Rail Road Bridge at the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on a white Gulp! on a jighead.

At Hook 鈥榚m and Cook 鈥榚m we learned that the Captain Ike had a catch of dolphin and tilefish on Thursday.  On Saturday the only fish they saw were a few flounder from the inlet.

The Fishing Pier on Cape Henlopen State Park saw a few spot and croaker plus three keeper flounder on Saturday.
