WGMD Fishing Report 9-16-19

Hermann-Financial

Sunday saw the wind and seas settle down, but this is going to be a short-lived reprieve.  Monday will be OK, but after that it is all downhill with northeast winds to 30 knots and seas to seven feet until Friday.  I had a few short trips to make on Sunday morning and ran through everything from bright sunshine to tropical downpours.

Suzanna Martin and her entourage fished the Point at Cape Henlopen on Sunday catching kings and at least one pompano.

At Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier on Cape Henlopen State Park the report was a few spot and short rockfish to 20 inches.  There are plenty of mullet swimming past the pier and this has attracted some keeper flounder.

Erik at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid came in with a catch of flounder and sea bass from ocean structure.  The Angler head boat had trout and croaker from Delaware Bay.

At Rick’s Tackle we learned that Pam Range caught a 3.62-pound black sea bass at the Del-Jersey-Land Reef.
