If ever a day was made for fishing Saturday was that day.

My wife Barbara and I went up to the Point at Cape Henlopen during the afternoon where I soaked some fresh mullet.  I could see bunker and mullet breaking, but despite a gallant try, I caught nothing.  The only fish I saw caught was a five-foot shark.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said Surface Tension with Captain Keith Beebe came in after a six-hour trip with a few sea bass from Site 11.  The Katydid was a few sea bass short of a boat limit after an all-day trip to ocean structure.  The Angler had trout, blowfish and kings while the Pirate King had trout, blues and blowfish from bay structure.

Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park saw a few keeper flounder caught on live mullet or large minnows.  A few short rockfish were also caught.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em we learned that the charter boats had triggerfish, blues and sea bass.  The Judy V brought in pompano to three pounds, sea bass and croaker.
