WGMD Fishing Report 9-25-18

Tuesday saw a lot of sunshine and a lot of wind that had small craft advisories up in the ocean and bay.  They have already posted small craft advisories for Wednesday.

Clark at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said there was a run of small blues through the Inlet on Tuesday morning.  Bucktails or mental lures will draw their attention.  He also said the surf settled down and there might be some blues caught during the evening tide.

I stopped by Lewes Harbour Marina on Tuesday morning and Tommy was the only one there.  I think he was lonely.  No boats went out of there or anywhere else as far as I know.

It looks like we won’t be doing much fishing until the weekend.  The weather just won’t give us a break.

They have been catching rockfish in the Upper Chesapeake Bay by chumming and using live spot or white perch for bait.  Podickory Point and Hackett’s have been mentioned in the reports I receive.  Further down the bay around Solomon’s trollers are finding some big Spanish mackerel by pulling small spoons.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report
