WGMD Fishing Report 9-5-18

Wednesday was another beautiful fishing day with flat seas on the bay and ocean.  Right now the weekend forecast is pretty bad so I hope you can get out today or early Friday.

Captain John Nedelka on the Karen Sue had a great trip to the area of the Del-Jersey-Land Reef.  He came back with a five-man limit of dolphin caught on squid chunks along with sea bass to 3.5 pounds.

Flat calm yesterday, 40 knots out n back to Wilmington Canyon. Limited on tiles, had to work for them…dropped in maybe twenty spots but did OK. Couple big…this stud pushing 20…another half dozen 15+.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Captain Pete Haines on the Top Fin took a busman’s holiday to Delaware Bay with his son Rainer and friend Wendy for a nice catch of blues.  Conner Cunnealy had a limit catch of flounder over ocean structure.  Dave Walker had a catch of golden tiles to 35 pounds.  On Tuesday, Kyle Falgowski caught an 8.5-pound sheepshead at the Ice Breakers on a sand flea.  The Katydid had a mixed bag of triggerfish, flounder and sea bass.  On that trip Bob Murphy caught a 4.5-pound trigger and Chris Thawley had a 4.5-pound flounder.
