Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/28/25

Wednesday saw bright sunshine and what felt like light winds on land, but according to Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em it was pretty rough on the ocean. The Judy V fished close to shore and had croaker while the Captain Bob ran down to Fenwick Shoal and caught triggerfish.

Rick’s Bait and Tackle weighed in a 5-pound flounder caught from the fishing pier at Massey’s Landing.

My friend Dan Neumann fished York Beach on Wednesday morning and said he and Paul Perkins caught five pompano, couple of spot and a couple of small blues. Paul had a 13-inch whiting (king). Baits were shrimp and bloodworms. The best bite was between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. during incoming water.

Old Inlet said sheepshead to 22 inches and croaker to 12 inches were caught out of the Inlet on Wednesday.
