Multiple Alarm Blaze Destroys Berlin Business

A multiple alarm fire off Worcester Highway Thursday is under investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s office. Firefighters from Berlin were called to Bayside Jet Drive just after 1:20pm where they found a single story building well involved with fire through the roof and extending from the front wall of the structure.

Command requested a tanker task force to secure additional personnel and water supply capacity. Fire companies from northern Worcester County, lower Sussex County and part of Wicomico County responded.

Firefighters were on the scene for about 8 hours – there were no reported injuries but the building and its contents were a total loss.
