41st District Representative Rich Collins

41st District Representative Rich Collins has announced that he will not run for re-election. Representative Collins made the announcement on Monday’s “Your Turn Delmarva” with MJ Powell on the Talk of Delmarva. He was first elected in 2014 to serve the 41st District, which includes the municipalities of Millsboro, Dagsboro, Frankford, and Selbyville, as well as the unincorporated communities of Roxanna and Gumboro.   Rep. Collins says that he will finish out his term which ends on Election Day in 2026.

According to his biography on the State House website, “In the General Assembly, Rep. Collins has been an outspoken critic of any government action he perceives as eroding citizens’ freedoms. He has sponsored numerous bills to reduce the tax burden imposed on Delawareans, curtail the regulatory authority of state agencies, and make public officials more accountable to the people they serve.” He has served on multiple committees – including the Joint Legislative Oversight and Sunset Committee, Agriculture, Labor, Natural Resources and Energy and Veterans Affairs.

The State Department of Elections website shows two candidates have filed for the 41st District – Democrat Ryan Stuckey and Republican Douglas Conaway. And former 41st District Representative John Atkins, on his Facebook page, says he is considering a run for office.
