Talbot County Sheriff鈥檚 Office Investigating Accidental Shooting Involving Young Children
A 4-year-old child is being treated for non-life threatening injuries after their 2-year-old sibling living in a home in Cordova gained access to a firearm and discharged a round striking his 4-year-old sibling in the lower leg, according to the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division. Talbot County paramedics were on scene quickly to treat the injured child and determined the child should be flown to Baltimore for precaution. The injured child was transported by MSP Aviation Division to Johns Hopkins Hospital.聽 The Talbot County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, was notified and responded to the scene.
