UPDATED: Delaware DOC Apprehend Absconder from SCCC

UPDATED – 03/06/26 – An offender who walked away from an approved work pass from the Sussex Community Corrections Center has been apprehended. Corrections officials say 54 year old Adam Blades was apprehended on Thursday by DOC officers and returned to custody. Blades was arraigned at JP Court 2 before being committed to SCI on an escape after conviction warrant in default of a $10,000 cash bail.

ORIGINAL STORY – 03/05/26 – An offender, whose current offense is Violation of Probation — Burglary 3rd, willfully walked away from the Sussex Community Corrections Center (SCCC) in Georgetown after failing to return from an approved work pass, according to the Delaware Department of Correction. The offender’s whereabouts are unknown and unauthorized at this time.  A Warrant for Escape after Conviction has been issued. Anyone with information on this offender is asked to call (800) 542-9524 or their local police department.
