Wicomico County Prescribed Burn – Fruitland

The Wicomico County Department of Public Works in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service will be conducting a prescribed burn(s), within the limits of the Sharps Point Dredge Management Facility located at 622 Sharps Point Rd. Fruitland,
between March 18th , and April 1st , 2026. This effort will assist the Department in the performance of aerial survey work and upcoming dredge management activities, and help to control invasive phragmites.

All addresses within one-half mile of the facility have been notified via mail; “Notice of Prescribed Burn” attached. Please contact the Department of Public Works with any questions at 410-548-4935.
