Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/28/26



Wednesday saw some rain, but not in the amount that the weatherman promised. The sun even peaked out between the clouds a few times.

Hook ‘em and Cook “em had the big news and the big fish of the day. Captain Aaron Hurd on the Gale Force ran a private trip and he caught a monster 5.4-pound black sea bass. Several other boats, both private and charter, went sea bassin’, Some returned with limits and others were close.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said blues and stripers were caught from the pier on Wednesday. The blues went for surface lures and metal as did the stripers. A few small flounder were caught on minnows.

Dan’s Tackle said big blues are still available in the Broadkill River on cut mullet.
