Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 6/23/26

Monday, we had a nasty wind and no boats went out from Lewes Harbour or Indian River Marina.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said he had no reports from Broadkill Beach or from the Broadkill River.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park did not answer the phone. I don’t know if they closed due to the severe thunderstorm watch or just because of the wind.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle did have a few fish to report. Blues were caught during incoming current on bucktails, plugs or metal lures. Sheepshead were taken on sand fleas or green crabs and flounder were caught on minnows, Gulp! or Fishbites fished on a jig head.

Tuesday appears to be another unsettled day, but Wednesday we should have some decent weather.
