Crash Closes Rt 24 Near Angola

Emergency crews from Indian River were called for a vehicle crash just after 2 this morning on Route 24 at Hollymount Road. Officials say a vehicle struck a utility pole breaking the pole and bringing wires down on the roadway. Delaware Electric Cooperative crews are on the scene working to replace the pole – expect restoration of power to about 90 members between 5:30 and 8:30 this morning. IRVFC officials say there were no injuries.
