Crash on Route 24 West of Lewes Left 2 Injured and 1 Cited for Failure to Maintain a Lane

Traffic was backed up on Route 24 between Angola and Lewes for about 2 hours this morning after a crash on Route 24 just east of Love Creek. Delaware State Police say an Isuzu box truck was westbound on Route 24 when a Ford Edge traveling eastbound crossed the center lane and collided with the Isuzu.
The driver of the Ford – a 74 year old Millsboro man was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries – and was cited for failure to maintain a lane.
The driver of the Isuzu, a 51 year old Dover man was also treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
DNREC was called to clean up a fuel leak from the Isuzu. The scene was cleared just before noon.
