UPDATED: Missing Man in Caroline County Found Drowned in Pond
UPDATED – 2pm – At approximately 1025 hours on October 24, 2023, the Caroline County Department of Emergency Services received a 911 call for service regarding a drowning in the 25900 block of Hignutt Road in Denton. The Denton Volunteer Fire Company and Caroline County EMS arrived on scene and found a male deceased in a pond approximately ¼ mile off the roadway. The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and confirmed the deceased was the critically missing person, Alvin Jeffrey Ciprich.
Ciprich was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine a cause and manner of death.

ORIGINAL STORY – 10/24/23 10am – Sheriff’s officials in Caroline County are trying to locate 61 year old Alvin Jeffrey Ciprich, who is considered a critically missing person. Ciprich suffers from Alzheimer’s and was last seen on Hignutt Road around 11 Monday night.
Ciprich is white, about 6′ tall and 300 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing grey sweatpants and an orange shirt. He is believed to be on foot – and may be non-verbal.
