UPDATED: DelDOT has Closed a Portion of Fleetwood Pond Road for Bridge Repairs

UPDATED – 06/16/26 – Fleetwood Pond Road is now closed between Old Furnace and Baker Mill Roads for construction.  Crews will be working to repair the spillway – including bridge deck repairs, joint sealing and painting.  Detours are posted. 

Weather permitting the bridge should reopen on July 18.

ORIGINAL STORY – 06/12/26 – The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure in the Seaford area of Fleetwood Pond Road between Concord Road and Old Furnace Road starting on Monday, June 15th through Friday, July 17th (weather permitting) for spillway repair work including bridge deck repairs, joint sealing and painting.

Detour – Northbound motorist will turn right onto Baker Mill Rd, then turn left onto Asbury Rd, then turn left onto Old Furnace Rd, and arriving back at Fleetwood Pond Rd.

Southbound motorist will use Old Furnace Rd, then turn right onto Asbury Rd, then turn right onto Baker Mill Rd, and arrive back at Fleetwood Pond Rd.
