Officials say more than 10,000 Delawareans donated to their favorite nonprofits during that 24 hour span. Over the past 2 years, the 24 hour giving marathon has raised over $4.5-million. Included in this year’s leaderboard for funds raised – The Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown with over 67,000 – they were also at the top of the individual donations leaderboard with 418 and at the top of the small nonprofit leaderboard.

From Jim Martin at Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown:

Our team and I are very humble, grateful and thankful to our supporters!! We are located at the Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown DE. This year we hit a record  high total of $67,050 in donations and prizes through the yearly 24-hour March event called DoMore24DE. This is the awesome Spur Impact online platform covering all three counties in Delaware!!  And the donations help to keep the doors open and swinging here at the big yellow house on N. Bedford Street in Georgetown!  The donations allow us to continue to help the homeless, hungry, or lonely throughout the year.  There were 416 generous donors that made this possible, every DM24DE donation counts…no matter how big or small. We also won lots of fun stretch funds and hourly prizes that added to each donation and made a bigger impact on helping those in need. We would like to thank everyone who donated through DoMore24 and throughout the year to help us to help the hurting.  Because of your donations we become are the answer to many prayers. Our team and I are so happy to be a part of this amazing community. It’s a great opportunity to help others and to reconnect with old friends and meet new people along the way because of all the wonderful volunteers and guests!
