Dover Man Arrested for Robbery, Assault, and Theft

Dover Police have arrested a 37-year-old Dover man on robbery charges following an incident Sunday night, August 31st. Around 8 p.m., Dover Police received a 911 call where a struggle could be heard on an open line. Officers responded to the area of South Bradford Street and Minor Street, where the call originated, and located the victim, who had been injured from an assault. Police say Desroy Phillips approached the victim, assaulted him, and took his bicycle before leaving the area. Officers located Phillips nearby and took him into custody without incident. He is at SCI on $27,000 cash bail on charges that include Robbery First Degree, Assault Third Degree, and Theft Less than $1,500.
