DSP Charge Bridgeville Man after Crash near Gumboro Thursday Night

A crash just after 11 Thursday night on Millsboro Highway south of Gumboro left a woman injured and a 20 year old charged with vehicular assault and DUI. Delaware State Police arrested Isaias Chavez-Chilel after his Fusion crossed the center line collided head-on with a SUV driven by a 24 year old woman. The driver of the Santa Fe was taken to PRMC in Salisbury with serious, non-life threatening injuries. Police learned that Chavez-Chilel did not have a valid driver’s license and was driving under the influence of alcohol. He faces multiple charges and is being held at SCI in default of a cash only bond.
