UPDATED: 2nd Suspect Wanted in Murder of Laurel Man – In Custody

UPDATED 10-2 – 7pm – The second man wanted in connection with the murder of a 19 year old Laurel man has turned himself in to Delaware State Police. Police say 26 year old Jerry Reed of Georgetown turned himself in at Troop 5 on Tuesday – he is charged with 1st degree murder and weapons offenses. Reed is being held in default of over $1-million cash only bond.

UPDATED  9-29  8pm – The search continues for a Georgetown man wanted for the murder of 19 year old Isaac Hatton of Laurel last week.  Delaware State Police continue to search for 26 year old Jerry Reed.  On Saturday, 21 year old Traevon Dixon was arraigned in JP Court 3 for 1st degree murder and weapons offenses.  He’s being held at SCI in Georgetown in default of a $160,000 cash only bond.  The investigation continues – if you know where Reed is – contact Crime Stoppers.

UPDATED – 9-29  3:30am – Two men have been identified in connection with the murder of a 19 year old Laurel man who was found alongside Portsville Millpond west of Laurel.  Delaware State Police have arrested 21 year old Traevon Dixon of Laurel, who is charged with possession of a firearm.  He is being held at SCI in Georgetown on a secured bond, however additional charges of 1st degree murder have been obtained.  Police are still looking for 26 year old Jerry Reed of Georgetown, who is wanted for 1st degree murder and weapons offenses.  If you know where Reed is – contact Crime Stoppers

UPDATED – 9-27  12pm –  The identity of the man found in the area of the Portsville Millpond has been identified as 19 year old Isaac Hatton of Laurel.  Delaware State Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound.   The investigation continues – police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Detective M. A man’s body was discovered in the area of the Portsville Pond west of Laurel. Delaware State Police say they were called for a man in the pond just after 9am Wednesday. The man’s body has been turned over to the state Division of Forensic Science to determine the cause and manner of death. Police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
