UPDATE: Victim Identified; DSP Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Crash West of Milford Monday Night

UPDATE 03/25/26: The Delaware State Police has identified 74-year-old Richard Bielawski of Harrington, Delaware, as the man who died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Monday in Milford. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this crash.

A hit and run crash west of Milford Monday night just after 8 has turned fatal. Delaware State Police say that a 74 year old Harrington man was walking westbound on Route 14/Milford-Harrington Highway – east of Church Hill Road when an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene in an unknown direction of travel. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital where he died.
