UPDATED: DSP Investigating Murder-Suicide Near Milford; Identify Victim and Suspect

UPDATED – 07/07/26 – The investigation is continuing.  Delaware State Police have identified 38 year old Jessica Bradley of Milford, Delaware, as the victim in Sunday’s murder-suicide in Milford. The suspect, 43 year old Brooks Bradley, also from Milford, committed suicide during the incident.

ORIGINAL STORY – 07/06/26 – Delaware State Police were called to Sugar Maple Drive in the Milford area for a welfare check Sunday afternoon after a man called 911 to report he’d killed his wife. Multiple attempts to reach the man were tried but not successful.

The State Police Special Operations Response Team entered the home and found a 38 year old woman with gunshot wounds and a 43 year old man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
