UPDATED: Maryland Primary Election – Tuesday, June 23
The Maryland Gubernatorial Primary Election takes place on Tuesday, June 23. In all counties, there are other elections besides the Governor’s race, but those ballots will differ by county. Voters have still have the option of voting by absentee ballot or in person at the polls on Tuesday. The deadline to receive a mail-in ballot by mail or to download it has passed. If you already have the ballot – it is due by the close of election on Tuesday.
Note: If you are registered to vote as unaffiliated or affiliated with another party that is not the Democratic or Republican Parties, you will only be able to vote in any nonpartisan primary elections held in your jurisdiction, such as a primary election to select nominees for the board of education.
VOTE IN PERSON
- VOTE ON ELECTION DAY – IN PERSON – June 23, 2026
Election day polling places will be open from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm on June 23, 2026. Election day voting will be held at your assigned polling place.
VOTE BY MAIL
The deadline to receive a mail-in ballot by mail or to download has passed. If you already have a mail-in ballot – it must be postmarked or placed in a designated ballot drop box by 8:00 pm on June 23, 2026.
