UPDATED: Federalsburg Murder Suspect Apprehended

UPDATED 1/22/19 – 1:20pm – Stanley Ricketts is charged with first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault and other pending criminal charges. He is currently being held at the Caroline County Detention Center without bond.


UPDATED – 1/21/19 – 5pm – Murder suspect Stanley Ricketts has turned himself in to Federalsburg Police.  He was wanted in connection with the death of 42 year old Tameko Barham, who was found dead in a shed on her Brown Road property on Friday.


UPDATED – 1-19-19  10am –  The search for a suspect in the murder of a Federalsburg woman continues.  Maryland State Police have identified the suspect as 49 year old Stanley Ricketts and have a warrant for his arrest on charges of 1st degree murder.  Police were called after family members of 42 year old Tameko Barham said she had not gone to work – they found her body in a shed on her Brown Road property on Friday.  Barham’s body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause and manner of death.  Anyone with information on Ricketts’ whereabouts should contact 9-1-1 immediately.


Federalsburg Police were called to Brown Road just after 3:30 Friday afternoon for a reported death.  Officers found a female who was dead and began looking for a suspect who left the scene on foot.  Police have not released the name of the victim or the suspect, but ask anyone with information to contact Federalsburg Police (410-754-866)
