UPDATED 2/9 – A 3rd suspect arrested for a Frederica home invasion. On Wednesday US Marshals arrested Charles Melvin Jr of Milford for his involvement in a January robbery on Barefoot Lane. Police say Melvin, along with 2 other suspects clubbed a man over the head and looted his home for guns, ammo and cash. Melvin is charged with first degree robbery, assault, and a slew of other crimes; he was taken to Vaughn Correctional Center on $12,000 bond.

UPDATED 1/30 – The second suspect of a Frederica home invasion is under arrest. Delaware State Police say Eric Garrison of Frederica was the second burglar who assaulted a man, ransacking his home on Barefoot Lane for guns, ammo and cash earlier this month. After identifying Garrison as a suspect, troopers located him in Magnolia, taking him into custody without incident. He is facing numerous charges including robbery and assault in the first degree. He was taken to Vaughn Correctional Center on $227,000 cash bond.

UPDATED 1/16 – Delaware State Police have identified and arrested one suspect in a Frederica home invasion. Police pulled over Eric Huffstutler of Frederica after he failed to stop at a stop sign. Officers then discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, and a further search of the vehicle revealed a black duffel bag containing 4 boxes of 9mm, 1 box of .45, and 2 boxes of .223 ammunition, which Huffstutler is barred from possessing. Police then searched the man’s home, finding 2 of the guns that were stolen last week. Huffstutler was taken to Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of over $84,000 cash bond. The second suspect in the case is still at large. Anyone with information about the incident should contact State Police.

Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion in Frederica that occurred Wednesday night. Around 8:30 PM troopers were called to Barefoot Lane after a reported home invasion. According to police, the culprit knocked on the door of a home, and when its occupant opened the door the robber clubbed him in the head and pinned him to the ground. Then they called to a second suspect, who began removing items form the home including three guns, boxes of ammo, and cash. The pair then ran off into the night. The first suspect is described as a stocky white male with reddish hair and a goatee. There is no description of second suspect available. Anyone with information is asked to contact Delaware State Police.
