Homecoming Celebration for about 40 DE Army National Guard Members Friday in New Castle


Nearly 40 members from the Delaware Army National Guard’s Detachment 1, C-Company, 126th Aviation unit are scheduled to have a homecoming ceremony on Friday, November 9, at the Army Aviation Support Facility in New Castle.  These Citizen Soldiers were mobilized to multiple areas in Southwest Asia in support of Central Command, in October 2017 and returned to Delaware at the end of October 2018.

The Delaware Army National Guard flew over 40 Medical Evacuation missions, more than
500 total flight hours, and accumulated 41 medals for their deployment efforts.  And for 5 soldiers this was their 4th deployment.

Delaware Governor John Carney is scheduled to attend the homecoming ceremony, as well as Delaware’s Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Carol Timmons.
