Indian River Board of Education Approves Changes in School Calendar – June 5 – Last Day of School for K-11

The Indian River Board of Education has approved a series of changes to the school calendar. At it’s regular meeting on Monday the Board approved Friday, June 5^th as the last day of school for students in grades K through 11. Final exams for Indian River and Sussex Central High Schools will be on June 4^th and 5^th and the last day for teachers will be Tuesday, June 9^th. The changes resulted from unused surplus hours built into the school year calendar to account for weather-related school cancellations.

Additional changes approved by the Board of Education:

• The last day for preschool will be Thursday, June 4.
• The last day for paraprofessionals will be Friday, June 5.
• Monday, June 8 will be a remote half grades, half teacher work day for teachers.
