IRSD Moves Last Day of School to June 11

During the last regular meeting, the Indian River School District approved several changes to the school district calendar – including a change in the last day of school for students in grades K through 11 – which is now Wednesday, June 11. This is 2 days earlier than originally scheduled because of unused surplus hours built into the calendar when the school day was extended by 20 minutes on March 31st. Finals for Indian River and Sussex Central High Schools will be on June 10th and 11th.

  • The last day for preschool will be Tuesday, June 10.
  • Final exams at Indian River and Sussex Central high schools will be on Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11
  • The last day for teachers will be Monday, June 16. (Classroom breakdown day.)
  • The last day for paraprofessionals will be Wednesday, June 11
  • Infinite Campus training for staff will be held on Friday, June 13
  • Thursday, June 12 will be a remote half grades, half teacher work day for teachers.
