UPDATED: US and Maryland Flags Ordered to Return to Full-Staff at Sunset Friday


UPDATED – 06/10/26 – This is to advise that Governor Wes Moore ordered the United States and Maryland Flags lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, June 12, 2026. This is the day of interment for Firefighter/Paramedic Demair Lloyd of the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department who passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. As a matter of protocol, the Maryland flag is lowered to half-staff as well.

 
The Maryland flag is currently flying at half-staff. At sunset on Friday, June 12, 2026, the United States flag and Maryland flag should return to full-staff.
