Marylands Department of Natural Resources and Department of Labor teaming up to train and develop recruits from Cambridge for jobs in environmental careers. The first of its kind partnership between the two agencies will dedicate funding for classroom instruction, field training, mentoring and a weekly stipend for new recruits.

There are two separate pathways in the Work 2 Live Well program, one focuses on land resources and the other water resources. Recruitment is now underway for the first class of 30 adults from Baltimore City and Cambridge areas. Training will begin this spring with graduation scheduled for May. Application deadline for those interested is March 1st, more information can be found on the Work 2 Live Well website.
