May 28, 2025/
The plan is for the improvement of聽nearly 3,400 lane miles of pavement across Maryland through patching and resurfacing efforts, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration. The improvement efforts are anticipated to take place during Fiscal Year 2026, which begins July 1st. As a result of聽additional transportation resources provided in Governor Moore’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget, the Maryland Department of Transportation is investing in projects that aim to improve the safety and reliability of the network, spur economic growth and ensure the state’s transportation system is in a state of good repair.聽Many projects are already underway; larger pavement improvement projects beginning this summer include聽Southbound US 50/US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) between MD 12 (Snow Hill Road) and Stockyard Road in Wicomico County.
