Millsboro Man Charged after Early AM Crash on Rt 24 west of Millsboro

A Millsboro man has been charged with vehicular assault after a crash early Friday morning. Delaware State Police were called to Route 24 and Godwin School Road just after 3am. Police say a BMW crossed the center line and struck an Altima head on. Police smelled alcohol coming from the driver of the BMW, 31 year old Lamar Finney and a DUI investigation was done. Finney is charged with 2 counts of vehicular assault, DUI and other offenses – he was released on an unsecured bond. The driver of the Altima, a 24 year old man from Laurel and a passenger – an 18 year old Millsboro woman – were taken to Beebe Medical Center with serious injuries.
