UPDATE: Mosquito Control Spray Announcement- Aerial Adulticiding in Sussex County Locations

Weather permitting; the Delaware Mosquito Control Section plans an insecticide application(s) during the evening hours this evening, Thursday, June 12th in and near Frankford, Delmar, Laurel, Milford, and Houston. The application will also include areas near Near Marydel, Camden, Felton, Harrington, Lincoln, Milton, Georgetown, Lewes, Millsboro, Seaford, and Frankford. All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions.

Application of Zenivex E4 (Etofenprox) will be done with a truck-mounted sprayer to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:

For notification purposes, spraying will be done in the following spray zones: 89, 90, 97, 98, 106, 107, 113, 115, 116, 118, 127, 129, 139, 140, 141, 151, 160, 165, 166, 170, 171, 173, 178, 183, 184, 186, 188, 189, 195, and 199.

The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife, or the environment.

Weather permitting; the Delaware Mosquito Control Section plans an insecticide application during the evening hours tonight Wednesday, June 11th, in Bowers Beach and Kitts Hummock–also near Dover, Pickering Beach, DAFB, and South Bowers. All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions.

The Application of Trumpet EC (Naled) with an airplane (registration number N5552A) to control adult mosquitoes will be done in the following areas:

For notification purposes and for the purpose of flight coordination with Dover Air Force Base, spraying will be done in the following spray zones:  87, 88, 93, 94, and 102.
