Rural Broadband Partnership with Bloosurf to Expand Broadband to Rural Kent & Sussex Counties

Governor John Carney is announcing a rural broadband expansion partnership with Bloosurf to provide affordable wireless broadband in targeted, rural areas in Kent and Sussex Counties.  This program was started a year ago in an effort to eliminate broadband deserts affecting about 127,000 homes and businesses in rural parts of both counties. The Delaware Department of Technology and Information is providing about $2-million to design, build, operate and commercialize a wireless network that will enhance coverage and speed in rural areas – and at an affordable cost to low-income families.
