A Salisbury man has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for sexually abusing children.

52-year-old Charles Quails was sentenced to a total of 90 years of active incarceration, 25 years each for two counts of sexual abuse of a minor, 20 years for one count of second degree rape, and 20 years for one count of a second degree sexual offense, with all sentences to run consecutive.

Quails was found guilty by a Wicomico County jury for sexually abusing two victims in 2017, who were both under the age of 12 years old at the time.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes commended the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) for their commitment and work in the investigation and prosecution.

“While I pray this sentence serves as a deterrent for others and I am grateful for our CAC, nothing will restore these children’s childhood,” said State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes.
