State Police Arrest Lewes Man for Home Improvement Fraud
Delaware State Police have arrested a 63-year-old Lewes man for home improvement fraud. Police say that Jeffrey Brower had signed a contract with a 66-year-old man from Lewes in October 2024 to do HVAC work. The victim paid Brower $7,000, but the work was never started, and his money was not reimbursed. Troopers obtained a warrant for Brower鈥檚 arrest, and on September 11th, he turned himself in at Troop 7. Brower was charged with Home Improvement Fraud by False Pretense $1500 or Greater and Victim is 62 Years or Older/Impaired/Disabled (Felony). He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. Troopers are asking anyone who may have been defrauded by Brower in a similar manner to call Troop 4 Financial Crimes at 302-856-5850.
