Sussex County Council to Hear from County Housing Coordinator

Hermann-Financial

The Sussex County Council meets Tuesday morning in Georgetown. Last week the council had a presentation from students at Beacon Middle School on the danger of large-scale balloon releases – that the balloons don’t break down and end up in the stomachs of birds and fish, and the ribbons and strings attached to them are also dangerous to wildlife. Councilman IG Burton will propose a resolution in support of the students project “Never Let Them Go.”

The Council will hear from County Housing Coordinator, Brandy Nauman with a final report and recommendations on Housing Opportunities and Market Evaluation. And in the afternoon session the Council will hold a public hearing on a conditional use application (No 2188) on behalf of Donovan’s Painting and Drywall, LLC which is looking for a conditional use on property zoned AR-1 for a contractor’s office and storage on 0.69 acres on Route 9 west of Church Street west of Lewes.

The Sussex County Council meeting begins at 10am on Tuesday at the County Administration Offices on the Circle in Georgetown. CLICK HERE FOR MEETING AGENDA
