Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/24/26

Thursday, we had some rough conditions on the ocean that kept boats tied to their docks at Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle told us spot and croaker were caught on bloodworms and Fishbites from Broadkill Beach on Thursday. The Broadkill River saw good croaker fishing and good crabbing as well.

Lewes Harbour Marina said the head boat Angler ran up to Delaware Bay and returned with good numbers of croaker. Spot and croaker were caught out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said fishing was good for spot and croaker.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that blues were caught from the Inlet early in the morning on metal and bucktails. Tog and sheepshead took sand fleas and green crabs.
