Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 10/17/25

Thursday saw those small craft advisories up once again and they will be up through Friday. Saturday calls for light winds and 3 to 4-foot seas so if you have a big enough boat and don鈥檛 suffer from mal de mar you might get out for some sea bass and flounder.

Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa said not many people have been fishing, but those who do are catching white perch and catfish along the shoreline from Augustine Beach down to the fishing pier at Woodland Beach and the fishing piers along the C&D Canal. The white perch will take bloodworms or nightcrawlers while the catfish like cut bunker or shrimp.

Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic also said not many folks are fishing, but a few are catching stripers and white perch in the tidal rivers and creeks on bloodworms and shrimp.
